Meet Your Candidates for President-Elect

Paul Dubiel, CRA, FAHRA

Associate Director Shared Services, UT Health Austin

Paul Dubiel

Candidate Statement:

"I have been a member of AHRA for almost 30 years, and continue to learn new things each and every day from its members. Since joining AHRA, I have always volunteered for various committees and projects and as each project ended, I couldn’t wait to sign up for the next one. With every committee I have learned so much from the members and want to continue to give back what I have learned to other members.

A key component of the position is being part of the “face” of AHRA to other external organizations and to vendors. Expanding and strengthening our partnership network will allow AHRA to grow and better meet the needs of all of our members.

AHRA has become more than an organization to me, it has become family. It has been a tremendous honor to serve two terms on the Board of Directors, but I feel I have much more to give to AHRA and its members. I would like to continue the work I’ve started on the Board through to the role as President to help members achieve their goals and to grow in their field. I would be honored to serve as president of AHRA and continue giving back to the membership."

Candidate Statement:

"I am honored to be nominated for reelection to my second term on the AHRA Board of Directors. With over 20 years of leadership experience in Radiology and Radiation Safety, AHRA has been invaluable to my development as a leader. Donna Morris, CRA

Director of Clinical Operations, Mary Washington Healthcare

Donna Morris

Candidate Statement:

"It is an honor to be nominated for a second term to the AHRA Board of Directors. Medical Imaging has been an incredibly rewarding career for me as both a technologist and a leader. I became a member of the AHRA in 2006, earned my CRA credential in 2007, and was elected as a Commissioner on the Radiology Administration Certification Commission (RACC) in 2019 and the AHRA Board of Directors in 2022. I have participated with two nine-month intensive leadership development programs; Leadership Belmont and Leadership Fredericksburg. These programs provided the opportunity to learn more about leadership both within and outside of healthcare and apply the learning by completing projects associated with my healthcare organization and a nonprofit organization in my community. The AHRA plays such an important role in the medical imaging community.

The Board of Directors is responsible for ensuring that the mission and vision of the AHRA is carried out with quality and professionalism founded on integrity, collaboration, and strategic focus. I have found that being the board liaison to the Curriculum Committee and participating in the mentoring program has afforded me the opportunity to contribute to the development of others and learn more about how to enhance and refine my own leadership skills.

The board has been presented with challenges over the last three years in terms of its management, fundraising, and a transition to a different operating model. We were successful with that transition, secured funding through the Living Our Legacy campaign, improved relationships within and outside of AHRA, and set the AHRA on a path for continued success and stability. The board has found it’s stride under the direction of three dedicated and talented presidents. It would be my pleasure to continue supporting the AHRA in this capacity for another term."

Executive Director, Radiologic Associates of Middletown, PC

Kevin Ordway

Candidate Statement:

"I am honored to be nominated for the AHRA Board of Directors. As an AHRA member since 2011, I have grown professionally through the opportunities presented by AHRA. I earned my CRA in 2011 and quickly saw the value this credential brought me professionally. As an AHRA Board Member, I would work to serve the members and assure all members are represented, whether you are from a large, multi-facility hospital system, a university system, or a small independent practice.

I have worked in private, academic, independent and corporate hospital systems including for outpatient imaging, hospital and independent group inpatient and outpatient imaging, and for regional, national and local radiology groups. I feel my experience and well-rounded background on the technical and professional side will be a benefit to the AHRA Board and to the members we serve. We talk a lot about “the radiologists” and how they affect our jobs, I have worked for both sides. I have also been involved not only in the operational side of radiology but have been in the sales and promotional side."

David Partridge

David Partridge, CRA, FAHRA

Service Account Executive, FUJIFILM Healthcare

David Partridge

Candidate Statement:

"I am seeking the opportunity to serve the membership of AHRA on the Board of Directors because the organization has helped me become a better leader and a better person throughout my time as a member. The skills I have learned, the knowledge I have gained and the friendships I have built have improved both my work and personal life. This is my opportunity to help point the organization in the direction of the voice of the membership.

My 15+ years of management experience in multiple types of imaging facilities, from a community hospital to a large health system to imaging centers, allows me to see issues from multiple points of view.

I believe that my experience working from the vendor side of the table allows me another perspective that will lead to more effective decision making. My position affords me the opportunity to work with leaders from across the country every day to see their different perspectives and understand their needs.

I have improved my skills as a leader of leaders by chairing the RACC for three years and being a member of the RACC for two terms.

The combination of my passion for AHRA, my experience and my desire to see AHRA help others as it has helped me makes me an ideal candidate for the Board of Directors."

Rachel Thiesse-Yount, CRA, FAHRA

Senior Manager of Breast Imaging Clinical Operations, University of Texas Medical Branch

Rachel Thiesse-Yount

Candidate Statement:

"A Board of Directors position will offer me personal and professional growth opportunities through influence and leadership to help shape our future and long-term goals, deepen my connections with influential professionals in our industry, gain knowledge in shared governance, leadership, and decision-making, and enhance my understanding of the organizations operations and the challenges needing to be addressed.

More importantly, this opportunity will allow me to give back to new and aspiring members as they embark on their leadership journey. This action has a positive impact to ensure the success and longevity of AHRAs future. The personal satisfaction will come from demonstrating to others that within a short period of time, a member’s ability to attain a decision-making role does not take 10 years or more. It is through finding opportunities to shine in volunteering, in various roles, and leaning into the discomfort of the unknown is where success truly awaits.

Being considered for a Board position does not have a pre-requisite of a director title in their current employment position. Managers and Supervisors are frontline staff and their contributions to the future of our industry and AHRA, is vitally important. I want to be that testament."
