As we are in April, a month dedicated to stress awareness, I reflect on a personal journey toward prioritizing self-care amid the relentless demands of daily life.
Lately I’ve been thinking about legacy — how the actions and choices we make today will impact the outcomes and trajectory of tomorrow. AHRA has a rich legacy, with our many members upholding the association’s forward movement. We each have a role to play, offering our different strengths and talents that add to the patchwork tapestry of our association.
Phagwa, celebrated globally as Holi and commonly known as the Festival of Colors, holds a special place in the hearts of the Caribbean people. The festival lasts a night and a day, coinciding with the full moon (Purnima in the Hindu calendar). There are both social and religious aspects to this festival. Phagwa is known as the festival of Spring and is typically observed in March (marking the end of winter and the beginning of harvest and the vibrant flowers coming in bloom).

On March 2, 2024, Louise Broadley passed away at 101 years old. She was a noble woman, who not only achieved many milestones within the imaging profession, but likewise paved the way for aspiring leaders in Medical Imaging.
